Who am I - A Quick history --
Just another kid on the block let's say (hitting mid 30's so technically not a kid :P).. I was always fascinated with Bikes.. somehow cars never appealed (the enclosed capsule kind of defeated the purpose/fun of being in the wild open).. 1st encounter with a machine on 2 wheels with a motor in it was with the Grand BAJAJ Chetak :D .. the power on it exhilarating (some thrill that).. Those were the days when Splendor had taken india by a storm and those nice stickering and that plastic fairing on the healights made it a dream bike (i still wonder how could I..)..

Fast forward to 1st Job and all i was inclined to buy as my 1st bike was a Pulsar (180 - UG3).. nothing else appealed to me during that time..

Touring?? -- Honestly, while all my friends around (aka roommates) were doing pondicherry.. Wayanad .. Coorg etc (am in bangalore) i was more engrossed in my workouts and football rather then going for any of these trips ever (flatly refused all the invites and i curse myself for that till date).. i would simply commute within the city and try to learn biking better..
Anyways, the bug inside revolted finally and i took off to chennai and pondicherry one fine day (armoured with elbow and knee protectors, base reinforced shoes, A new helmet and glow jacket stuck to my travel bag (enabling the traffic behind to identify me safely)).. wrapped up 950 odd Kms in a span of 3 days and the feeling was something that i could not express properly (yet to write a blog on that).. it was just me.. my bike and the wind around..

How the Heck did this one happen?? -- I was just lazying around, routine office work and stuff wherein enters SHANKAR the saviour.. and the life changing conversation that ensued was as follows:

Shankar -- Dude, i just switched my job.. planning for a biking trip.. want to tag along?
Me -- Would love to.. but naah.. no can do.. too much stuff to do at home..
Him -- Mid of Feb to do this..lets just go..
Me -- too much work..

I later realized that his brain was tuned to not register any of the excuses that he is confronted with.. :D..
a quick chat with home ministry and she says Carpe-Diem.. and kicks me out of the home to travel..
