Hi all,
Would like to take this opportunity of my last 4 day trip starting from Mangalore.
Riders: myself and Siddharth
Bike: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 2011
Odo reading: Close to 48000 km
Actual kms munched in the same bike: 62000 km
We had four days in hand starting from Friday.
We have loaded the bike by 2 am and planned to start by 2:30 am from Mangalore. We had information of Shiradi ghat closure due to heavy rainfall and subsequent landslides and hence, we preferred to take the Charmadi ghat route from Mangalore. After 22 kms of awesomeness in B.C. Road, we took a left diversion towards Chikmagalur. It was a great ride in the middle of mist, raindrops, fresh air and nature.
Remembered the line: Fresh air is an air freshner.
Stopped at Charmadi Ghat for enjoying the early morning sunrise

And just after that, I got a flat tyre. I was cruising at 60 kmph and this sudden incident was unexpected. But, as I always carry an extra saddle bag for spares, it came into help.
Myself removing tire, the locals were helpful enough to extend their help, though I managed myself:

It was a sharp nail that made my day. Did the needful patchwork myself and was done by another 45 minutes.
The next stop was in Belur to enjoy the beautiful Belur temple

We reached Hassan at afternoon and after that it was a 4 lane awesomeness.

Bypassed Bangalore to reach the Hosur road. Did a quick check up in the Hosur road service station. They refused to take a single buck.

Moved forward till Velur, Tamilnadu and got a descent hotel at 400 bucks.
