Weird sound from Gearbox, sounding like its breaking inside.

Apologies for not contributing to this forum regularly, due to personal commitments and career building period.

Today in evening my XCD 135 showed some unpleasant sounds.
1. While downshifting, no feel was there from the gear lever, but downshifting was happening. Then after releasing clutch, a breaking sound came from the gearbox and the bike stalled. The sound was like as if something had broken in the gearbox,and jammed the gear movement, and it was a loud and harsh sound.
2. For some period, 2nd and 3rd gears were slipping of back to 1st.
3. Kick has become significantly loose now.

I left the bike to rest for a few minutes, then started and moved off, it moved and on the way back no such symptoms came back. Though the gear felt extremely notchy and jerky. The kick is still loose, but not completely free.

Case history-
1. Once my gear lever spring had broken, resulting in gear being in 1st only, and I could not shift it. It was 3 years back.
2. Clutch & pressure plates are good,as inspected by Service advisers.
3. Engine oil is Motul Fully Synth and is 300kms old.

What can the issue be??
