The Nirbhaya will be offered with an SOS button for emergencies and will be offered at a discount of 10% for women riders! The SOS button is connected to the phone of the rider and will send an SMS to 6 different preset mobile numbers. The scooter will be initially launched in Ahmedabad. This is the third product of Morello Yamasaki. 60% of its customers are women and thus the idea of having a woman centric scooter. The expected price of the scooter is around Rs 35000/-. Morello Yamasaki is a joint venture between Mumbai based Arya Group and Yamasaki Motors of Japan. The company also plans to setup a plant near Ahmedabad by 2015-16.
