Hello Everyone . I am Moksh Verma from Delhi working as a software engineer . Already feeling great becoming a part of this community . Thanks xBHP .
Nothing much was happening in life, same old 9 - 5 job, slow crawling life . I never did any kind of touring or riding, never had any friends who were interested in same . I had a second hand pulsar 150 2003 model which served me well for 9 years until recently started giving me all kind of troubles after which I gave up on her . So I started looking for new ride, ACTIVA came to my mind first, I thought it would be so much relaxing to have a small gearless ride, went to showroom, took a test ride and thought 'nehh' not much fun . I decided to go for pulsar 150 cc after I took a test ride as I found it to be relaxing with adequate speed and acceleration . Went to the showroom to get the paper work done . Sitting there I saw this duke standing in a corner with 'demo duke' written on it. I asked the sales guy there about it and he said 'ye bhi achi hai chala kar dekh lo' . I said okay no harm in test ride .
As I got closer to it, I had a smile on my face looking at the sheer beauty of the bike . Sat on it, started it and sweet sound started to come under the bike . As soon as I engaged the gear and opened the throttled , WOW that was it , whole world turned upside down for me . It went like a missile to me . Sheer power, light weight and the precision blew me away . Never had such an adrenaline rush on two wheels . I told the guy I ll take the pulsar next week . Went back home, told my dad they didn't have the black colour so next week lenge :D :P and indirectly told him about some bike named duke and its cost and immediately my dad's expression gave me the red flag : ( . At that moment I thought of buying the cheapest two wheeler possible and save my money for the future duke instead . I was sad . I kept thinking about the bike even at work, searched through tons of articles on xbhp :D about the bike and that motivated me a lot . So I went with a nervous mind next week, kept my foot down, got my loan approved and bought the orange monster, the Duke 200 . Came back home riding extra cautiously and to my surprise even my dad loved it :D . It surely is a head turner as I see people's head turning a lot. It's an overwhelming situation for me as I never had such a complex and powerful bike .
Now I want to know everything, I have started reading everything about the bike, engines, brakes, How to ride, how to break-in ( never heard of it before and never cared about it earlier ) lots and lots of How To's including how to ride on tracks and stuff . Got myself some cool riding, safety gear and official merchandise which I wear with pride :D . I am learning about all the microscopic details and techniques of riding on tracks . I want to join a pro-biking type school ( if it exists in Delhi ) and go on laps riding and racing on tracks for sure . I feel this a transition phase in my life . Now I have a passion for something which won't ever die : ) . Never thought a little throttle could do this much magic . Sorry for such a long intro, blame it on my excitement : )
Finally, Life is Orange and I am Ready to Race >>
Thank You xBHP
