A Tribute-- Resoration of a Junked CBZ

I will be taking delivery of a junked motorbike which belonged to my cousin. Tragically, he was killed in an accident a couple of years ago and the motorcycle was seized and kept at the police station as evidence. After all the court hearing and the insurance payout, the motorcycle was released to his younger brother who decided to do up the motorcycle as a gift to my deceased cousin's son(who will turn 18 next year).

After all the conversations via phone, email and whatsapp, I have deduced that the bike's chassis is OK however all the plastics are either broken or stolen. The carb is missing and the engine does not turn over. The motorcycle was retrieved from the police station(in Cuddalore) and it is on the way to Delhi.

I have decided to get the bike mechanically and electrically restored(with some upgrades) and then ship it off(or ride it :biggrin:) to Chennai where the painting and the plastics bit will be taken care of. As we both have a limited budget, we have decided to use the Hero honda parts bin only and also the OEM manufacturers (minda, Imperial auto fittings, Unitech, sunbeam, usha etc). In case, some parts are not available, we will be using compatible parts from Karizma, and all the other Hero honda bikes.
@psr, ashwin, acs, Divya, rreneav and all the karizma/CBZ owners: your help will be required to isolate all the compatible parts and the part numbers for this restoration.
