Hola,
Here is the story of the Suzuki samurai which my dad brought in the year 1998. Just like the commercial (Ad) says yes its an *no problem bike*. I dont know whether you can trust your gal friend(no offence) but I am 100% sure that you can trust the Suzuki Samurai when ever you want you can bet on it. It will stand by you..
Now, it has been 15 years from the date of purchase it completed its 15th anniversary on 15th September as per the papers. Now I thought of reviving it to the current looks. But without giving up its originality. A complete restoration so that it can go for another 15 years. :)
First looks: No painting work still the tank shines as it was got from the showroom thanks to my dad for the splendid maintenance., The Shields are so damaged and I have ordered for the new ones even though I cant get the originals I have Gone for the A1 Quality.
Engine : There was a noise from the engine due to over used engine barrings. So got set of Engine barrings to replace. since bore has been over used I have rebored it for second time. Then the crank shaft was wobbling a bit so mech has started the process of fixing it. And first time trying an synthetic Engine oil for my bike
Tuning: Since preserving its originality no changes to the Bore, Piston and any other parts. Will be replacing the Jet Kit, Carb Adjust screws and Airfilter for better performance and mileage.
Chain kit: Here is my questions about the chain kit. Auto mobile dealer suggest me to go with the TVS stock Chain kit for the suzuki's. But I though of having a chain kit a Roller kind of... You can see this type of chains in Discovers and R15's. But my mech ran out of options when I checked with him.. But he didnt say that was impossible.. We are searching for it.
Just help me with your expertise to have my bike come out better :)
Thanks a lot Bikers
Will post the pics once my babe is back :)
