New kid on the block

Hi's and hello's to all the senior bhp-ians.

Actually that subject is not entirely true.. Atleast the "kid" part!

I'm a 32 yr 'old' IT services fellow who started late into riding (only at 22) compared to a lot of people here.

Have had the delight of reading through a lot articles and discussions in xbhp for many years and I thought I should also join this place definitely and contribute!

My first was a Bajaj boxer CT 2004 model - and Bajaj discontinued the moment I bought it [emoji23]

Rode it till 2007 June before I seized the engine without changing the oil for nearly 10k kms. But otherwise it was a gem of a bike in terms of good reliability, mileage and power.

Time for a new bike and was looking at one level up at 150 ccs. Definitely not a Pulsar as there were way too many in my friends circle. My choices were xtreme, unicorn and Apache. Since having seen a couple of incidents in Apache probably due to the shorter wheelbase Apache was out of the case. Between an unicorn and xtreme I was very comfortable with the Uni and liked the comfort too.

Went to the showroom and there was this Moto gp limited - Repsol Honda edition beauty which I couldn't take my eyes off. The sales guy at Lodha Honda who attended me gave the Moto gp quotation instead of the sports version. He definitely understood my interests and told me "it doesn't even mean a difference in the emi why bother" [emoji41]

So from then on till now for nearly 8.5 yrs it's always been a delight and never was there a moment I regretted buying this machine.

Not a xbhp standard rider but I normally ride hard and keep the bike in top condition (mechanically only - I'm not a guy who cleans my Bike and cars daily).

Since the ride is now 8.5 yrs, I'm contemplating between restoring the bike to the showroom looks by changing worn out exteriors and repainting to original colours or to do some modifications and make it look like a CB 1000 R. Anyway that's going to be a separate post as I'm definitely going to need all of your expertise in doing either if this, as I'm not that good in the mechanical understanding of a bike.

Talk to all soon!!!

P.S. As said already I don't have much of pics of my bike being clean, but since I'll start working on the bike soon I'll give it a complete clean up and will post pics here. For now I'm posting few dirty dirty half pics of my bike here to start with.
