The quarrel between Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez has resulted in the termination of MM93 merchandising contract with VR46 Racing, the clothing company owned by Valentino Rossi to supply Marquez merchandising for the 2016 season.

The spanish rider has signed a multi-year agreement to have his merchandise supplied by Gruppo Pritelli. The company supplies merchandising for Jorge Lorenzo as well as many other MotoGP riders including Andrea Iannone, Andrea Dovizioso and Aleix Expargaro.
It is unclear whether this affects Marquez's younger brother Alex, who also has an agreement with VR46.
The split between Marquez and VR46 follows the bitter on-track dispute between Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi at the end of last year.
Marquez' management and VR46 are currently in negotiations to terminate the contract, with the VR46 company wanting financial compensation for Marquez' decision to terminate the contract prematurely.
