Initially this ride was not the travelogue type but just a get-away from boredom type. But as the bike starts and get on the highway, a travelogue cum info-log is made. Lets start with the base/beginning of this travelogue cum info-log.
Last month I went to visit my elder brother who lives in Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh) for one week. 2-3 days were passed and I was getting bored all day, as my 8 years old nephew comes from school at 3pm and brother comes from company at around 7pm. So basically whole day ends by watching either Foxlife/TLC/Discovery (where it seems like they stopped making new episodes for India) or by chit-chatting with Sister-in-law (either way I was getting bored) :02.47-tranquillity:
While chatting with my college friends on fourth day I got to know that one of my batch-mate (different branch) is in Chandigarh working for a bank. Immediately called that friend and decide to meet him the next day. Now its time to ask permission from my brother to give his bike for a day and also from my mother for the trip (as my mother is super-possessive about travelling by bike). Luckily both of them agree ;)
So its fifth day morning and my brother was explaining me the route from Nalagarh to Chandigarh (side-by-side I was checking the route on Google maps). Left the house at 8:00am for Chandigarh via Pinjore. Didn't take any pictures in the starting as I was just going to meet my friend and would chill-out for the day :02.47-tranquillity:
Reached Bus terminal of Sector-17 (as told by my friend) at around 10:00am and found him waiting there. Being singles we just sit on one of the bench there and soon we were lost in our own world. When our tummies started to growl, only then we realized that we were glued to that bench for more than 2 hours. So decided to first eat something and then roam around the city for the whole day.
While having lunch came to know from my friend that Shimla is just 120kms from Chandigarh, so I jokingly asked Bhai chalein kya and he agree in an instant. Now from here the actual trip starts along with picture :D
Some Details of the trip:
1) No. of days = 1
2) Route taken = Nalagarh Pinjore Chandigarh Pinjore Shimla Pinjore Nalagarh
3) Total Kms ridden = 310 Kms
4) Bike used = Bajaj Pulsar 180(UG3)
5) Fuel consumed = 7.5 L( Rs500 )
6) Total trip cost = Only Rs1300 (Rs500=petrol, Rs800=food )
7) No. of persons = 2 (Me and my Friend)
8) Camera used = Sony Cybershot W-730 + Mobile ( Xiaomi Redmi 1S )
As I have to reach home before 8:30pm, we hurriedly left for Shimla and that too via Pinjore. While we were crossing Pinjore I saw some crowd and some camels at a place and asked about it from my friend. He told me that its Pinjore Garden and a good place to see, hearing that I take a U-turn and headed towards the garden. After all I was out for having fun and whats the motive of riding if I didn't stop to see something new :D

Soon we were back on the road and just after few kilometers some hills come into sight. Motul is definitely a wonder oil for Pulsars because at the speed of 70-80kmph and that too in hills, the bike feels so smooth and responsive :applause:

The flora was exact same as of Uttarakhand. But the thing which excites me was the sights of railway track in the lap of mountains which can never be seen in Uttarakhand. Second thing which makes me happy was the condition of road, it was a smooth 2-lane road up to Shimla. In Uttarakhand most of the times overtaking a bus/truck in hilly regions becomes a heavy task as road is narrow but here I just have to twist the throttle to overtake any kind of vehicle ;)

After this point kept the camera in bag so that we can reach Shimla on time. After reaching Shimla we didn't step down from the bike and roam around the place and also didn't stop anywhere. Maybe within 1 hour we left the place and headed back towards Solan to recharge our tummies and continue the journey.
Few kilometers before Solan my friend told me that a huge temple is under-construction in this area with very beautiful statues of many Indian God and Goddesses but we have to go off the highway for 7-8kms (this is the info which also makes this travelogue a infologue).
Time was already 4:30pm so I was in bit of a dilemma whether to see that temple or continue riding (the main reason behind this dilemma was that I was new to the route and also I have to reach home in the given time). At last decided to see the temple asap and after reaching there I was happy that I made that decision. All the xBhpians living nearby Solan must visit this place once. Left the temple at 5:30pm and without recharging our tummies ride continuously up to Pinjore. Leave my friend there to catch a bus to Chandigarh. :p
Now let pictures do the talking :)
BTW I reached home safely at 8:00 pm ;)
