Sales Reports: October 2015.
Finally, the big news being TVS showing proper signs of recovery in sales figures. Their sales figure increase was 14% in two wheelers, while scooter sales are up by 30% compared to last year. Even two wheeler exports have grown by 18%.
Royal Enfield's actual growth is 69.51%, but they accidentally claimed 73% growth to media. Actually, they compared October 2013's "domestic only" sales to October 2014's "domestic+export" sales, which is technically a wrong way to compare.
Reports across the internet are stating 73% growth, but that isn't correct. If anyone believes we are wrong, please post your clarification in comments below. We don't suspect wrong intention, it is most probably just a mistake by their PR.
Bajaj's product line is expanding but its sales are going down for some weird reason. Its not a good sign. A further analysis would be needed to spot the causes.
For Honda, they're on an expected 19% increase. The motorcycle sales have however declined, while the scooter sales have jumped by 35.54%, which shows that most of the public waits for scooters than motorcycles, after booking them. Their scooters are definitely famous now, specially Activa.
Suzuki is on a growth path too, although after leading the growth charts a few months ago, they're on a modest 15% growth this month. Suzuki Gixxer was the biggest seller for the company last month, with more than 10,000 units shipped.
Hero Motocorp's festive season turned sour with the unfortunate loss of their founder Shri Brijmohan Lall Munjal. Due to this, the work in the company is affected for now. They haven't published Sales figures yet, however they expect to breach the 6 lac sales figure once again, as per unconfirmed reports from the company, before the month's end. We will publish their figures as and when we get them. Expect them to lead the charts anyways, but we'll see if they breach the 6 Lac mark again or not.
For some other reason, Mahindra 2 Wheeler have also not published figures on their website yet.
UPDATE: Hero Motocorp have now posted that they have created a new sales record for 2 Wheeler sales in the World. Its really no consolation for the loss of their founder but still, what a tribute indeed. The new Maestro and Pleasure, and their good sales have helped Hero grow over 74.6% in terms of the scooter figures, compared to the same month last year.
Obviously, this re-asserts their position as the world's largest 2 wheeler manufacturer too.
