Our long holiday in Goa was over and the hangover just clearing up. The month of May was winding up and so was the holiday season. It would be sad to just let the month drift by without one more ride to tide us through the coming month. And so the plan was hatched, a 3 day ride to Wayanad and Coorg.

Bangalore/Mysore/H.D.Kote/Mananthavady/Gonikoppal/Kushalnagar/Bylakuppe
As most of us know, on weekends the Bangalore/Mysore road gets awfully crowded to put it mildly. Cant blame anyone really, everyone wants to get out of the city! So we decide to leave on a Tuesday which turned out to be a wise move. The traffic was comparatively thin and with most of the speed breakers removed, it was quite a pleasure to ride.
We had breakfast near Maddur and shortly we are near Mysore and take the bypass road on to the Mysore/Mananthavady road.

Its a beautiful road and the recent rains have brought out the green and of course the Mayflowers, in full bloom everywhere. Such a riot of color! I wanted to stop and kneel and embrace these wonderful trees for their selfless gift of glory to us. They ask for nothing just giving. Yes, like the poet said All things seem possible in May

We soon pass H.D.Kote and shortly reach Nagarahole Tiger Reserve. It sure seems like Forest Season for us. Starting last December we seem to be riding through one forest after another. Valparai, Anaimalai, Palani, Bandipur, Mudumalai, Yellapur, Agumbe and now Nagarahole and Wayanad !
