So recent developments in making India a safer and a sensible driver. Maharashtra has decided to make it mandatory for new license and or two wheeler registrants to own/purchase a helmet. They now require two affidavits 1) stating that the applicant promises to wear a helmet 2) from the seller of two wheeler stating that a new helmet has also been sold to the buyer along with the purchase of a two wheeler.
This marks for a HUGE leap towards use of safety gear. Often people cheap out of even buying a helmet. This reform will atleast make the buyer helplessly use something that he paid for, The helmet.
I recon other states should follow the same road.
With humble request Keep a helmet on your head, not the ego. Cheers!:D
