The Ride to Love..
It was a cloudy morning with warm coffee, after hell of a night at work. My head was full of her thoughts. It’s been 2 long months after we got engaged. My heart was pounding to see her all the time, but my work dragging me back. But it’s her B'day, I want to be with her. She was far away (400Kms) from me. With heavy heart I looked down my balcony, there he is!! My best buddy (CBR250R) starring at me as if he was asking "what in the hell are you waiting for”!!. That blink shattered all my thoughts and the only thing on mind was how her face would be in surprise. I did some calls to settle my work for the day; as usual my boss was not pleased. But today I don’t want to be dragged back by any one. With the strength of my buddy, I forced all odds aside and started off to my love.
For first few miles in Hyderabad traffic, we barely making 30kmph, I started to think, “Can I make it?” But my buddy is waiting for the right time to stretch his legs. There comes the highway to Bangalore, my Horse started galloping; it’s just a warm up though. After we are completely out of the city limits, it’s nothing ahead but the black carpet welcoming us. There he goes with all his power assuring me to show my love. After a few minutes, my mind was blank, surprisingly I was not thinking of my love, just enjoying the ride.
They said its waste of money, but I know what exactly I want, “to drive long and feel free”. Now it’s time to push the limits of my buddy, time to put its name to test. “Come on buddy lets show them what we are capable of”. There he is zoomed past 100kmph and in no time we are at 125kmph. It’s been an hour at 125kmph speeds, I didn’t even feel a small discomfort and it was smooth. But then we came across our Nation’s natural Speed breakers (cattle). We juggled between them and boy he was flexible. After that we are at 125kmph in no time and there comes a straight stretch as far as I can see, I felt what my buddy was thinking and I gave him that extra boost left in my palm. Zooom!! Past 130… 135.. 140… 145.. 148 come on buddy show me your strength…….. “150” ooohooooooooooo. Way to go boy. As usual, the speed breakers again!!

After 2 solid hours of drive we are at Kurnool, from where we need to get off the highway. I pulled over for refreshments. I saw people of all ages around my hero and checking him out. So we started off to my favourite stretch “The Nallamala Ghats”. Okay now, He proved himself on Highway, It’s time we go off road. So there he is, spilling the mud and climbing the rocks as if they were made for him. I am in love. It was smooth and comfy. I loved the scenic beauty my buddy showed me.

So that concludes a brief off road. Then after 2 hours there I am, in front of my love who was standing in surprise. That face!!! You can’t buy that with anything in the world. She ran to my arms. It was Quite and warm. And that is the feeling you can’t buy. J
