I am using a Ninja 300. I find it to be an excellent highway machine, and capable for city riding as well. However in city riding, I often feel that if that handle bar would be little closer to me, that would make the ride a lot comfortable.
There is something called 'Handle Bar riser'. It is simply two metal blocks with 3 holes each, one big hole for fork, and two small ones for bolts.

The handle is mainly bolted down using the two bolts only, so he/she can use the handle bar risers to bring the handle closer. One Ninja, 1" is the max you can use if you want to continue using the stock cables. For more height, you will need to change the clutch, accelerator and such cables.
The 1" riser costs about $50. Is it too much for a metal block? You bet! But I don't want to get into DIY to save a few bucks and risk making the whole setup unstable.
The shipping of these risers is high, about $20/$25. For any incremental order, the shipping is $6 more.
I found the following link the best, as it is from Amazon and shipped internationally.
Amazon.com: New Kawasaki Ninja 300 / 300 ABS 1" Inch Lowering Fork Kit and Handlebar Riser: Automotive
I am starting this thread to see whether anyone is willing to order this stuff with me. Before I place the order, I will need to see part money in my account, as I will have no use of unclaimed risers. Once we get the number of interested persons, I will notify you the total amount we will have to pay. I think it will be close to $60-$65, so about 4000Rs each for a pair of risers.
On the other hand, if someone wants to suggest any homegrown solution or if you have someone coming from US and willing to bring it here for Rs.500 more, it will be the best thing to do.
So, is there anyone who wishes to join? The last day of showing interest is 8th March. On 9th/10th, I will intimate the final costs, and on 11th March, we will put up the order.
