Prologue
So this has been going around for about six months. Realization came much later when I saw Shahrukh in JTHJ riding through the godly valleys of Ladakh. Before this I had only heard of something called Leh-ladakh and that it exists somewhere far away. By the time I reached back home the bug had bitten me already,
and it only got intense everyday. I started googling like i never did before and would spend almost 4-5 hours every weekend just to look at the maps, things to carry, weather conditions and what not. Then i came across a few travelogues on xbhp and started reading one on a casual note and suddenly it became an obsession,
the pictures they had, the vivid description of each and everything. By now I had made my mind that I'm going no matter what, and hence the curiosity was now transformed into a research. Bikes, parts, jackets, riding gear and all that mattered. After almost a month I started poking Bhavya Sandeep Ashish Hussain Abhinav and Aalind, it was too early but i had to tell them in advance so we do not have any budget or time constraints later, but later all drifted apart due to individual reasons. May the 1st it was decided that only I and Ashish are going and hence it was time to shop stuff that we would require for the trip.
Karol bagh is where i started from, (ek do teen aur na jaane kitni bar) I had to stroll the market to get exactly what I wanted, within 10 days I had spent 15-17k and the desire to go was all the more intensified. The time spent on internet now was exponentially increased, we had to be sure of the routes, weather conditions and above all, it was our first ever road trip so chances of getting stuck into situations were more.
