My first time in Pune. My first time with my newly bought 200NS. I had heard a lot about the cornering capabilities of the NS and i wanted to try it firsthand. Had a talk with my friends and within the first week of getting my bike delivered i was zooming off to try the curves of Lavasa i had heard so much about.
The ride was a hastily planned affair. It was a Sunday and i was getting ready to go to office:mad:. A call from my friend was the intervention all i needed to get my travel bag ready and head out the opposite way. 4 guys, 2 Pulsars and off we went. It was 1:00 P.M when we headed out of Hinjewadi.

The heat was intense at this time. There was no signs of the rain gods showering some mercy upon us, so we just decided to push it. There are two approach roads to Lavasa from Hinjewadi. The first one is the longer one which winds through Chandni Chowk and leads you straight to the turn for Lavasa. This road is in a good condition although the last patches are pretty bad. The second Road is through Hinjewadi-Phase-3 and God forbid you take this road. Its bumpy, full of holes and give u a nice backache.
There was nothing nothing much to see on the road. Then came Lavasa. The roads suddenly turned buttery smooth, the vegetation turned green and lo and behold dark clouds were upon us in minutes. It seemed as if the rain gods decide to make our final approach easier.

The Curves. Oh God the curves, they are a beauty to burn here. Twist, turn and corner. It was so much fun we kept on it till 30 min after which we aptly realized we hadn't yet gone inside Lavasa City yet. Everyone was so busy cornering, no one bothered to take some otherwise excellent snaps that might have come up.
The city is designed on European architecture styling. Bright colours, a lovely waterfront bay. Good food put pricey. By this time it had started to drizzle and it just couldn't get any better. Watersports was closed due to the anticipation of rains. Had some snacks and decided to leave as it was growing dark and we didn't remember seeing any streetlights on the way up.

Wasn't much of a long drive from pune. But some fine day you want to corner like a pro, go to Lavasa. Found it ideal for families for staying a night. Nothing much for wanderers like us. You go see the beauty, burn some rubber and come back by night to Pune. So this was the start of what i think will be a long series of bike rides in Maharashtra.
