Hey Friends,
After a long time I got the chance to go for ride and I would like to share a little experience and few images here with my fellow bikers.
I started on 5th Oct @ 4 PM- Inorbit Mall, Malad W to Vadodara station, spent a bight at my regular joint and started my real journey from there on 6th Oct at 7 AM. I took 1st break at distance of around 150 odd KMs at a dhaba next to Tatva Engg college, Modasa. Then another break at a petrol pump just 50Kms ahead of Mt.Abu, Rajasthan...after a couple of breaks of about 10-15 mins reached Jodhpur at 7PM. Spent a night at Jodhpur.
The gang of parking lot(Jodhpur Station) attendants shall remember me for months because I gave them a real tough time as they were trying to convince me to rest assure about my bike because the lodge where I planned to stay did not have parking lot so the owner brought me to Jodhpur station parking lot to park my bike. I even told them that I will sleep in parking lot bloody let me lock my bike in your lodge room...they were all laughing so hard, but I was damn serious about it. After lot of headstorming I dropped lodge owner at his place, picked up my luggage and booked a better hotel where I got parking right at doorstep, owner chained the bike with main gate, additionally I put my wire lock on it too, handle lock was there too..so she was safe n I was satisfied.
Next morning (7th Oct) left at 6:30 AM and entered Delhi at a leisurely pace at around 7PM, had nice food on the way and also relaxed good on a khaat under a tree at a dhaba around 250Kms from Delhi. Luckily, I happen to get a decent place with first class parking...No issues in Delhi at all.
8th Oct, from Delhi left for Dehradun at 8AM through Ghaziabad's Rajpat Rd - 200KMs of Hell...no roads whatsoever, so damn dusty that they have to spray water thru tanker to keep the dust down. WORST PATCH IN ENTIRE JOURNEY.
Stayed there with a good friend at his place and left next morning (9th Oct) at 9AM for Sirhind, Punjab. It was just 210 Kms from there, roads were great, no hiccups whatsoever...rode in Punjab at around 2:30PM and stayed there for 3 days, also checked out Patiala & Amritsar in friend's car as he is not keen on roaming on bike.
Left Punjab on 12th Oct at 7AM and reached Ajmer at 8PM. On Jaipur-Ajmer expressway (90KMs straight road) I got reserve, I thought I shall fill up once I cross this silk route, the stretch was super smooth but dim-lit. At just about 15 Kms from Ajmer city I realized that my bike has petrol which will last for only 12-13 Kms and we all know how dreadful is the thought of being stranded in middle of highway in dark...unfortunately there was no power either so the only pump which was exact 11Kms from city could not provide petrol, thankfully the dhaba few meters ahead of it gave me petrol @100/- per litre...reached Ajmer city safe and sound and slept like a baby. I was not tired at all though, it's just I had stomachful of fried fish at a Sindhi joint in market near station.
13th Oct - Left for home...exact 984 Kms from Ajmer sharif where I was put up. Made a run for it at 6:30 AM. Got the tank full and didn't look back, completed 625Kms by 5:30 and took a long break of 40 Mins...because I had to finish just another 375 Kms of straight highway - NH8. My bike ran great that day, we completed 984 Kms in 15 hours and 30 mins + upto 3 hours of break.
It's hard to believe(even for me) but I had no issues with my back and there was not a single glitch with my bike, trip was superhit!
