Hello everyone,
I am in search of a new bike which satisfies my need. I have previously owned Honda Shine (6 months), pulsar 180 (2.5 yrs). I recently parted my ways with my beautiful black stallion (p 180) and now planning to have something else in the stead. The following bikes are being considered as a replacement.
1. Honda trigger
2. fz/fz-16
3. apache 180 abs only (purely for safety purposes).
My requirements are
1. should be reliable for next 4-5 years.
2. should be a balanced bike and excellent in handling and braking departments
3. rear disc would be nice but can give up if the handling is exceptional (e.g. fz)
4. low maintenance and decent on FE (~40kmpl is enough). I do not ride aggressively and am a sane rider.
5. Budget 80-90k (can stretch to accomodate apache 180 abs).
3. Should have a kick start (no cold start problems)
My brain says buy honda trigger and get over, but my heart desires something more beautiful (in terms of design; not sedate).
Contrary what you hear from people, i loved my Pulsar 180. It was just an awesome machine, heavy and was stable on high speeds. I loved it! Two things i hated was that it was heavy at the front end. The sporty or nearly sporty stance during braking sometimes made me lose balance. Second thing, was the cold start problems. Could never start during winter. I absolutely hated it during November-February. Had to always ask someone to push. God!! It was dysmal. However, it never gave me any maintenance problems. Got it serviced every 3 months/3000 km (which ever is earlier) religiously.
I have two questions in this regard...
1. Is the fz rear tyre a hassle or a boon? While i understand that it is an outstanding machine i do not want to buy a bike thinking about puncture everyday.
2. I hate vibes, and does the apache 180 abs (2014 model) vibrate a lot. if it does in the 50-70kmph region then i want to put it off as well.
Thanks for your valuable suggestions
