P.S. The title says BEER, which was consumed only at night and not during the riding hours :)
Writing a small log about the recent trip to Gokarna with my biking buddies Benaka,Fareed,Keshan,Prajwal & Akshay. It was a super fun ride and a zero incident ride
The initaila plan was to pondi, then it became mangalore and then stretched a little more Gokarna it was. The ride was planned a week back and everything fell in place. Nobody backing out in the last moment ![]()

Started bangalore at 5:45am from nelamangala and the plan decided was to go via mangalore which is an extra 60odd kms. Breakfast was quick and we reached mangalore by 12ish. We had some decent fish and parota and started the stretch towards gokarna. The roads were fine, but quite alot of traffic. I had already spoken to the cottage chap were our stay was. We passed via maravanthe beach, spent quite sometime there clicking clicking. A little later we again stopped for a beautiful sunset on the bridge which was breathtaking. Reached gokarna at 8:00pm and we were not all that tired. Ordered a couple of beers and hit the sack. Everyone was so eager to wake up in the morning to see the view from the cottage which was on a hill top and facing the beach. Well, I never slept the entire night. Wandered around place with a couple of sutta’s and then finally slept for about an hour.

A couple of beers went in again. Drinking beer was like drinking water there. We headed to the city for lunch which was pretty late and all we got was nonsense food.(the only place that was serving lunch at 4:30pm)
Soon after that we visited OM beach and kudle. We wanted to get back to our rooms for sunset because the people there said the view in the main beach is the best. And it was
Got some amazing clicks there and it was bon fire and dinner time. We had a bunch of girls who had occupied the very next cottage. So our man benaka invites them for Bonfire and we sit in 2 different table and miles away. Soon after dinner I sat all alone admiring the beauty, thinking of nothing
And then I struck a conversation with one of the girls and then the wolf pack arrived. And what was supposed to be a small intro session, ended at 5:00am
We hit the sack as we had to start to bangalore early, because I wanted to reach before night, reason being because my bike could break down anytime. Yes that’s right. Before reaching Gokarna there was some wierd noise coming from the engine and severe power loss. Well just in brief, the connect rod had a little play and the piston was rubbing the walls. I was looking at 600kms ahead to bangalore with a seized piston. Well by god’s grace bolt(my p220) made it till bangalore and I did not enjoy the ride back to bangalore on the beautiful twisties because of the bike. Anyways all said and done, the bike was fixed in 48hrs by my trusted mech and it was back on the road.
All in all this was one epic ride with the boys and we all throughly enjoyed every bit.
Now let the pics do the talking…..
