Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd (SMIL)
, recorded a 19 per cent rise in March sales at 30,594 units. The company had sold 25,717 units during the same month a year ago.

Bajaj Auto reported 1.33 percent increase in motorcycle sales at 2,70,591 units in March 2014. The company had sold 2,67,037 units in the corresponding month of previous year. BAL said exports were up 16.58 percent during the month at 1,18,183 units compared to 1,01,374 units in March 2013.

TVS Motor Company has reported a 17.44 per cent increase in its total sales at 1,96,826 units in March 2014. The company had sold 1,67,583 units in the same month of the previous year. Sales of scooters grew by 63.24 per cent to 47,766 units in March 2014 from 29,261 units sold during the same month of the previous year. Sales of motorcycles grew by 10.27 per cent to 68,158 units.

Hero MotoCorp capped off the financial year 2014 with 5,24,028 units in March’14. This is a growth of 11.9% over the corresponding month in 2013 when the company had sold 468,283 units.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported a 55 per cent growth in sales at 3,92,148 units in March 2014. The two-wheeler manufacturer's total sales stood at 2,52,787 units in the corresponding month a year ago. Motorcycle sales registered a rise of 57 per cent at 1,90,091 units in March, 2014 as compared to 1,20,796 units in March, 2013. HMSI also reported an increase of 53 per cent in scooter sales at 2,02,057 units from 1,31,991 units in March, 2013.

Yamaha Motor India reported a 21.33 per cent increase in its total two-wheeler sales at 61,239 units in March 2014 as compared to 50,473 units in the same month of the previous year. Domestic sales stood at 28.7 per cent at 46,052 units as against 35,782 units in the same month a year ago. In the export markets, the company sold 15,187 units last month, compared to 14,691 units in March 2013, up 3.37 per cent.

Mahindra Two wheelers registered a growth of 152% in March 2014. The company sold a total of 19,591 units in March 2014, with domestic sales standing at 18,953 units. The annual sales grew at 92% for the company in the year 2013-14.
